2014 - 2016
IMPACT Accelerator
In the summer of 2014, a consortium of four European companies (ISDI, Buongiorno, Seaya Ventures, Teknologiudvikling) was awarded a grant of €6.4 million for accelerating startups.
Thus, IMPACT Accelerator was born.
The original IMPACT grant covered three batches of acceleration, each lasting six months. We had open calls in October 2014, April 2015, and October 2015. In total, we accelerated 60 startups.
Acceleration consisted of an intensive face-to-face training, lasting just under two weeks, as well as five and a half months of mentoring, learning, and growth.
At the conclusion of each batch, startups were invited to pitch in front of top European investors.
During this two-year phase, we developed the Open Acceleration methodology. Want to know more about Open Acceleration? Check out our whitepaper! In it, we share data, metrics, methodology, and results.

2016
IMPACT Extension
In 2016, we offered an intensive acceleration program to startups who had already been accelerated at least once in a FIWARE accelerator. Of the 11 selected for the IMPACT Extension Program, eight had participated in IMPACT before and three were newcomers to IMPACT.
The program lasted three months and was designed for startups in a more mature stage of development. Services focused on internationalization, marketing, and business strategy designed for exponential growth.
