IMPACT GROWTH SMART MANUFACTURING
IMPACT Growth Smart Manufacturing is the new project from IMPACT Accelerator, one of the top ten accelerator programs in the world.
In partnership with MADE, we are looking to select growth-stage startups working to solve problems related to advanced intelligent manufacturing, human-centered manufacturing, product data and knowledge in product life cycle, collaborative and mobile product lifecycle management, cloud manufacturing, manufacturing as a service, product-service manufacturing ecosystem.
The startups that are selected for the program will receive €100,000 equity free — up to €250,000 for the best projects — as well as training and mentoring and the option to receive private investment from one of our partner investors and VCs: Kibo Ventures, Accelerace, INVESDOR.
Our three-month acceleration program, led by ISDI and Accelerace, is de-localized, which means that startups can receive training, mentoring, and funding without having to move to another city or country. This means that startups don’t need to go through the hassle of establishing themselves in a foreign place, but can rather focus their efforts on expanding their business, attending the world’s top startup events, training camps, and networking events in Madrid, Copenhagen, London, Tel Aviv, and more.
The best startups will move on to a second phase of internationalization. The best projects will be awarded up to an additional €150,000 in equity free funding.
Finally, the four top startups will have the opportunity to receive private funding of up to €1.5 million, led by Kibo Ventures.
MENTORING
IMPACT Growth connects startups with mentors, top experts from all around the world. Each startup has its own Follow Up Mentor, who helps startups with all aspects of their business. Startups also can request mentoring sessions with specialists from fields such as strategy, digital marketing, legal, and more. Meet our mentors here.
Additionally, each vertical has a special partnership with an international corporation. Smart Manufacturing is partnering with MADE to offer startups specialized mentoring, commercial partners & further opportunities.
TRAINING
IMPACT acceleration kicks off with a week-long, face to face bootcamp taught by internationally renowned “teachers” (founders, investors, hackers). Startups also receive courses in subjects such as internationalization, founding strategy, growth hacking, and more.
Smart Manufacturing
Smart Manufacturing startups rely on technologies and concepts of value chain organization, which combines cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things and the Internet of Services. In the Smart Manufacturing factory, cyber-physical systems monitor physical processes, create a virtual copy of the physical world and make decentralised decisions. Through the Internet of Things, the systems communicate and cooperate with each other and with humans in real time. Via the Internet of Services, both internal and cross-organizational services are offered and used by participants of the value chain.
Start Manufacturing startups work to tackle issues such as advanced intelligent manufacturing, human-centered manufacturing, product data and knowledge in product life cycle, collaborative and mobile product lifecycle management, cloud manufacturing, manufacturing as a service, product-service manufacturing ecosystem.
The partner for this vertical is MADE. MADE – Manufacturing Academy of Denmark – will strengthen manufacturing in Denmark through research, innovation and education. Among its members are large and small companies, universities, academic institutions, advanced technology groups and other actors with an interest in promoting manufacturing through research, innovation and education. MADE will bring its experience and knowhow to help startups in the Smart Content sector succeed.
STARTUP CRITERIA
IMPACT Growth is designed for startups in the growth stage. The ideal startup:
- has a product already on the market
- already has initial investment
- has established partnerships with corporates or strategic partners
- is looking to open in new territories in the short term
- is looking for investment to grow the business
- is established in Europe or willing to open in Europe before entering the program
